That was a great experience. I hiked with my best friend 18 km / 11.2 miles through the Eifel National Park. We took our water from the river and cleaned it with the #sawyer water filter. The filter is so good that you could drink out of muddy puddles with it. Halfway we cooked ourselves a meal of fried potatoes with bacon and onions. Unfortunately, it is forbidden to light a fire in the national park, so we had to cook with the gas stove. The landscape and many wild animals in the national park are beautiful.
Some practice on my survival knowledge:
"A-Frame" or Half-A-Frame shelter. Good view to the front and side, protected from wind, water and view from behind. Ideal as a resting place for eating and resting or also for spending the night in good weather. However, for overnight stays, I recommend a different, more sheltered setup, which camouflages better into the terrain. With appropriate setup and with the help of natural materials, the sharp contours can be hidden, so that the tarp completely merges with nature and becomes invisible from a distance.
Other set-up options will follow.
Materials used:
- Helikontex Supertarp 3x3m
- paracord
- Helikontex rain poncho as ground tarp
- Survivalstuff Kienspahnkit + fire steel

This was an amazing experience! It's F.L.Y. - the first flying launched coaster in the world! The theme world is built in the style of steampunk. You lie under the track and fly upside down ahead in camelbacks and screws with Zero G effect. In total there are two launches on the track. Absolutely recommendable, if you ever visit the #phantasialand in #Brühl
